cia appoints new director
Cardiff International Airport has announced the appointment of Steve Hodgetts as business development & commercial director and his appointment to the Cardiff International Airport board.
The new role and directorate has been created to combine responsibilities from the business development and commercial functions.
This newly formed department has merged the route development, marketing and communications, commercial and customer services activities to provide for a much more integrated approach to the business.
Having been employed at Cardiff International Airport since 1998 as commercial manager and subsequently head of commercial and strategic development, Steve has a proven track record for property, non aviation revenue generation, future planning and research management. Steve also delivered the Airport's response to the Government's White paper on the Future of Aviation in 2006.
Steve said: "I am looking forward to tackling the challenges of my new role head on and to the opportunities the new department brings by working to improve the customer experience from Cardiff.
"We have a strong, dedicated team in place and we are all excited about starting a number of new projects and initiatives."
