Jenkins Suzuki are reporting that business has been buoyant since opening their doors to the public last October at Suzuki's largest European dealership on Hadfield Road, Cardiff.

Addressing guests at the official opening of the showroom, in the presence of Mr Takanori Suzuki, Chief Executive of Suzuki UK, Ken Jenkins, managing director of Jenkins Suzuki explained that, "We believe at Suzuki that with the current range and new models around the corner we are offering a selection of highly desirable & economical vehicles which are extremely popular with all motorists."

"A couple of years ago, motorists did not ask about the fuel economy but questions about the specifications, fittings and speed of the vehicles were more common.

As motorists' wallets feel the effects from high fuel prices, trends are moving toward fuelefficient models and away from the gas guzzlers. One of the first questions our sales teams are now asked is regarding the fuel economy of the vehicles."

The dealership is owned and managed by father and son, Ken and Russell Jenkins. Having previously been partners of motor retailer James & Jenkins for some 27 years. Ken & Russell sold all their interests in the old company last year and established Jenkins Suzuki on Hadfield Road in October 2007. Whilst discussing the performance of the new company Ken stated that, "We have really appreciated all our old and new customer's loyalty and support as well as our staff since we opened in October, it's been a fantastic start to an exciting new company. We are all enjoying our new location and expanded team". Mr Suzuki, managing director of Suzuki UK, paid tribute to the new company, he said, "Ken, Russell and everyone involved has worked tirelessly to achieve this level of success.
